Mrs. Connie Kreshon, 85, of Ellwood City passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in Cranberry Township.
Mrs. Kreshon was born in Ellwood City on January 17th, 1941 the daughter of the late John and Laura (D’Angelo) DiBuono. She had graduated from Mount Gallitzin High School in Baden with the class of 1958 and later from Duquesne University where she earned a degree in education. Over the years she worked at Highland School later known as Blackhawk School District, Ellwood City Area School District, and Riverside School District having taught World Cultures and English at the Junior High level. Along with her husband Jim she retired in 1998.
Connie was an active member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church and the church’s Christian Mothers. She also taught CCD at the church and was a longtime volunteer for the former church Annual Bazaar. She enjoyed reading, cooking, traveling, and especially her grandchildren.
Connie is survived by he beloved husband of almost 61 years James M. Kreshon whom she married on July 24th, 1965, her daughter Laura Kreshon-Long of Treesdale, son Dr. James (Rose) Kreshon of Allison Park, and her cherished grandchildren Elizabeth Long, Caroline Long, Joseph Kresahon, James Kreshon, and Elizabeth Kreshon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Pasquale “Pat” DiBuono.
A private visitation will be held at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. Family and friends are invited to attend the mass of Christian burial on Tuesday, June 30th, 2026 at 11:00 am at Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church with Father James Wehner officiating. Entombment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Members of the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers are asked to meet at the church on Tuesday by 10:50 am to form an honor guard.
Memorial donations in Mrs. Kreshon’s name may be made to Divine Grace Parish Social Services.
