Charles “Charlie” Mirante Jr., 79, of Franklin Township, passed away at the Northview Estates on Thursday, April 8th, 2026.
Charlie was born on February 22nd, 1947 in New Castle to the late Charles A. and Jennie A. (Caruso) Mirante. He graduated Lincoln High School and served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge in November 15th, 1966. He worked for Babcock and Wilcox Steel Mill, and was the owner and operator of the Shelby Bar for over 30 years. He was a member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church, and the Sons of Italy #608 in Ellwood City. Charlie enjoyed going on trips to Rivers Casino and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his sons Matthew Mirante of Colorado, and Christopher Mirante of California, step-son, Travis (Tida) Radevski of Arizona, grandchild, Skater Radevski, brother, Vincent Mirante of Florida, many nieces, nephews, and loyal bar patrons.
He was preceded in death by his soulmate and beloved wife, Donna K. (Stevens) Mirante whom he married on November 14th, 1984 and passed away on August 5th, 2012, his step-son, T.J. Radevski, sister, Rosalie Symons, and niece Jennifer Smith.
As per Charlie’s wishes, there will not be a public service. Cremation services have been entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc..
