Anthony J. Tomeo Jr., 73

On June 20, 2025, Anthony J. Tomeo’s spirit was gathered into God’s hands, where he was reunited with his beloved sister, Giorgina, his younger brother Carmine and parents, Anthony J. and Violet Tomeo. He currently resided at Kadima Rehab and Nursing where he passed away peacefully in his sleep.

Born December 17, 1951, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Anthony J. Sr. and Violet Paswell Tomeo.

Anthony graduated from Lincoln High School in 1969. He was a competitive hard-working person, owning and operating his own painting contracting business for many years. A talented artist, Anthony won the “best of show” award from the Ellwood City Art Club when he was just 12 years old. An avid Steelers fan and pool player, Anthony played pool in several Ellwood City leagues. He was a member of the Divine Grace Parish Holy Redeemer Church, enjoyed reading, and served as a delegate for AA.

He is survived by his daughter, Vanessa Tomeo of Ellwood City; brother, Mark (Eileen) Tomeo of Allison Park, and brother-in-law, Louis Sbarro of Ellwood City.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Carmine Tomeo and sister Giorgina Sbarro.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday June 25, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. A Blessing Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday June 26, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
