It is with the heaviest of hearts that we find our lives suddenly saying good bye to Angeline Catherine Riccardo who passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on Thursday, April 4th, 2024.
Angeline was born in Forestville on September 15th, 1920. She shared 57 years of happy marriage with her husband Armond “Hardy” Riccardo, before his passing. Angeline was the proud mother of her sons and their wives Ron and Pearl Riccardo of Ellwood City and Allen and Irma Riccardo of Bristol, PA, she was blessed with eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Mary Scialdone and Donna (Don) McFadden.
She had worked at Woolworths Department Store as a clerk then at Bristol Metals and Corelle Steel both mills as a machine operator. Angie is a member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church and was a long time volunteer at the church’s Annual Bazaar. She is a former member of the Optimist Club. One of her favorite past times was sitting on her porch, and enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, and crocheting blankets for her neighbors and individuals with cancer. On her 100th birthday Angeline was honored by Mayor Anthony Court proclaiming September 20th, 2020 as “Angeline Riccardo Day” in Ellwood City.
In addition to her parents Phillip and Frances (Ferrell) Labor she was preceded in death by two brothers Don Labor and Tony Labor.
Family and friends will be received on Monday from 5-7 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am at the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church Catholic Center. Entombment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Resurrection Mausoleum.
