Otto Robert Fox

Otto Robert Fox, born March 20, 2024, passed away peacefully in his parents’ arms on March 27, 2024.

The perfect blend of his dad and mom, Alexander Robert Fox and Hayley Rose Sandgren Fox, Otto was a beautiful boy, measuring 22 inches at birth and approximately 9lbs. He had his dad’s eyes, lips, and chin, with his mom’s hair and nose (and big hands and feet). He spent his life receiving love, care, and prayers from hundreds of people near and far. He met his grandparents (Katherine and Peter Sandgren; Lisa and Gary Fox) and a small fraction of the family and people who love him, hearing stories about his parents, family, and dog, listening to books read to him, having music played for him and songs sung to him, and being held by his mom and dad. Tears were cried for him, but he also heard and felt laughter, jokes, and banter. In his brief time on this earth, he made quite the impression, earning the love of countless nurses and doctors.

In the words of his great uncle, Otto lived a perfect life. It was short to be sure, but all he ever knew on this planet was that he had parents and a family that loved him unconditionally and forever. He didn’t know his life was short. But he knew he was perfectly loved while he was here.

A true hero, Otto donated his heart valves to save another life. Hayley and Alex are honored to forever be Otto’s Mom and Otto’s Dad. Otto is loved and missed deeply, and will be held in our hearts forever.

The family would like to express special thanks to the doctors, CRNP, nurses, and aides, who were Otto’s angels on earth, and all other personnel who had a hand in his care and our time with him.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Presbyterian Church, Ellwood City on Friday, April 12 at 6 pm.

In Otto’s memory, donations can be made to any of the following organizations:
