Mrs. Marian Gib, 100, of Ellwood City passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 1st, 2024 at her residence.
Marian was born on February 25th, 1923 in Aliquippa, Pa. She was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Vanga) Radut. To live to be 100 was something Marian was very proud of.
Marian was married to George Gib Sr. on September 18th, 1949. He preceded her in death on January 19th, 1983. She was a graduate of Aliquippa High School, and lifelong member of the St. Elias Romanian Orthodox Church in Ellwood City. She will be greatly missed by her family.
She is survived by her son, George Gib Jr. of Ellwood City, daughter Georgene Gib of New Wilmington, and sister Renee Tomochek.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, George Radut Jr., and sisters, Anna Burlett, Pearl Taddeo, Jean Todd, and Eleanor Radut.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 5th from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. Interment will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice, especially Steve and Amy for the compassionate care they gave their mother.
