Stevie Jane Kruger, 3

Stevie Jane Kruger, 3, has been eternally healed surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.

Born in Pittsburgh on September 22, 2020, Stevie was diagnosed with the rare genetic condition of Trisomy 18 but the “Prettiest Girl in the World” defied all the odds during her 3+ years.

Stevie was the presence of joy, she was a piece of Heaven on earth.  She was the definition of resilience and a living testimony of what it means to be a fighter.  Her smile was healing, you could feel her love for you through her eyes when she locked in on you.  She is a reminder to count our blessings with her being the biggest.  Despite everything the doctors would say, she carried on in her own way, writing her own story, until her very last breath.  Those the closest to her will miss those bird call cries, her big bright eyes, and above all her healing smile. She loved her swing and laying on her boppy while her brother would show her new toys.  Whether it was cuddling with manny, snuggling with Mom or curled up on Pappy’s shoulder, Stevie Jane always knew the perfect nap spots.  From her large loving circle of not just family, friends, police family and community, Stevie knew nothing less than what love is.  “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear” -First John, 4:18

Stevie is survived by her parents Richie and Erica Yerace Kruger, her brother, Grey Thomas all at home, her maternal grandparents; Ray and Missy Yerace of Ellwood City,  great grandparents; Charlene Downey of Ellwood City, Alex Wisbith of Chippewa, Ann Kruger of Ellport, Aunts and Uncles; Samantha (Yerace) and Jesse Hribar of Baden, Joseph and Jen Funkhouser of New Castle, Mellisa Kruger of Greenville, Tabitha and Ron Mesko of Fombell, Ray Kruger of Fombell, several cousins and her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; Richard and Rachelle Kruger and her great-grandfather, Clifford Kruger.

Friends will be received on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport.

Stevie’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Carol Mae and the staff at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh for their continued love and support over the last three years.
