Arlene M. “Pinky” Maielli, 87

Mrs. Arlene M. “Pinky” Maielli, 87, of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, January 16th, 2024 at her residence.

Mrs. Maielli was born in Ellwood City to the late Albert and Mary E. (Onada) Siesing on December 5th, 1936. She had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1954 and has served for many years as an officer and organizer of the class’s annual reunion. Pinky had worked at Fashion Bug at the Franklin Twp. Plaza as a salesperson. She enjoyed painting and crafting of which she designed holiday themed ties, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and ceramics. She had been a member of the Ellwood City Art Club and served as an officer for the club. Pinky is also a member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church and the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers.

She is survived by her daughters Christine (Gary) MacDonald of Ellwood City and Karen (Chas) Kahrer of New Castle, son John (Lori) Maielli Jr. of Ellwood City, grandsons Jonathan (Lisa) Maielli, Matt Maielli, Chris Maielli, Tomas Maielli, Adam Kahrer, and David Kahrer, great-grandson Connor Maielli, and her sister Rita Farone.

Pinky was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Maielli Sr. whom she married on November 10th, 1956 and passed away on January 8th, 2023, and brother-in-law George Farone.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday at Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church at 11:00 am. Members of the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers are asked to meet at the church by 10:50 am to form an honor guard. Inurnment will be at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Mrs. Maielli’s name may be made to; Special Olympics Lawrence County or Club Hope.

    I am so sad and sorry to learn of Pinky’s passing.
    She will be sooo missed.
