Justin Hand Among Three Tiffin University Golfers To Earn GCAA All-America Scholar Honors

Former Riverside golf standout and upcoming senior at Tiffin University, Justin Hand, was among three Dragon golfers to have earned GCAA All-America Scholar honors according to a press release from the university.

Justin HandDavid Siegel, and Matt Flynn earned the distinction with their academic performance in 2022-23. A total of 214 golfers earned the distinction nationally from 80 schools.

To be eligible for GCAA All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior, or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their Associate’s Degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team’s competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I, under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, under 79.0 in NCAA Division III, under 78.0 in NAIA, and under 77.0 in NJCAA, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.

Hand is a studying Accounting at Tiffin University and is the son of Bill and Michelle.

Hand signed with Tiffin University in 2019 after a stellar high school golf career where he was First Team All-Conference all four years, a US Junior Am Qualifier, the school record holder with a -9 63, the WPIAL record holder with a -9 63, an ESMARK All-American, and a four-year captain of the Panthers golf team.
