Carol L. Kingston, 78

Carol L. Kingston, 78, of Ellwood City, passed away at her residence on Sunday, May 14, 2023.

Born in Ellwood City on November 5, 1944, Carol was the daughter of the late Arthur and Irene McKim Bable, Sr.  She married Clarence “Barn” Kingston on May 11, 1962 and they just celebrated 61 years of marriage.  Carol worked at Fisher’s Big Wheel in New Castle and Ellwood City.  She also worked at the former ECASD employee credit union for many years.  A member of First United Methodist Church, Carol was part of their original “Apple Dumpling Gang”.  She was very active at the former Curves in Ellwood and she enjoyed cooking and baking.  Carol made the absolute best pies.

In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by her four children: Kimberly (David) Williams of Saegertown, PA, Amy Ottaviani of Ellwood City, Edward Kingston of New Castle and Steven Kingston of Ellwood City, a brother, Arthur (Nancy) Bable, Jr., of Cleveland, thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter in infancy, her son-in-law, Patrick Ottaviani and three sisters: Marlene Fire, Kathy Bable and Ruth Ann Brown.

A Celebration of Carol’s Life will be held at a later date.  Memorial contributions can be made in her name to either the American Diabetes Association or to the donor’s favorite charity.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport.
