Borough Code Enforcement Reminds Residents To Keep Grass Trimmed

Spring has sprung and Summer is just around the corner.

This is the time to start cutting your grass and the Ellwood City Borough Code Enforcement Officer is reminding residents in the Borough that the legal height for grass is not to exceed SIX (6) inches.

Also, cleaning up around your property helps to make our borough more desirable. This helps control the little animals that take refuge in the high grass and debris such as mice, rats and snakes.

The Borough also reminds residents that if you do not have your house number visible from the street, police, fire and paramedics have a harder time locating you in an emergency.

“We all need to work together,” says Code Enforcement Officer Ralph Chiapetta. “This eliminates possible legal action for noncompliance.”

Thank you for your continued cooperation!

  1. Ralph, I have reported a dilapidated house at least twice to you. Nothing has been done. Should I just let my grass grow, and maybe you’ll finally stop and talk?
