UPDATED April 21st 11:32 a.m. — The opening day parade and ceremony has been postponed untiled next Saturday, April 29th due to weather forecasts. The schedule of events will remain the same
Ellwood City Amateur Baseball Federation (ECABF) will hold its opening day ceremony on Saturday April 22nd.
A parade will start at approximately 9:00 a.m. at the Old Ewing Park School field and head to Freidhoff Field where games will follow the ceremony and introduce all the teams.
Tee Ball will proceed to the grass area, where they will play during the season. Games will start at roughly at 11:00 a.m. and each game will last for a maximum of 45 minutes.
Farm, Minor, and Little League will play throughout the day. It will start with two Minor League games, then one Farm League game, and a Little League game will end the night.
The opening day will have a 50/50 raffle going on during the day, and the concession stand will be open.
ECABF utilizes fields in several locations throughout its season: Ewing Park, Ellport, and Rosanna. The Pony and Colt League teams play on the Ellwood City High School Field. Click here for Field Locations and Directions.
ECABF is run solely by volunteers. These volunteers look to develop young player’s athletic skills as well as help shape them into respectable young kids.
