Donald J. Mudric, 91

Mr. Donald J. Mudric, 91, of Wayne Township passed away on Monday, March 6th, 2023 at his residence.

Mr. Mudric was born on February 11th, 1932 in Ellwood City to the late Michael Mudric and Mildred (Whitey) Minnetti. Don graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1950. On March 21st, 1951 Don enlisted with the United States Air Force and served until his discharge on March 20th, 1955 with the rank of Staff Sargant. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. Following his service with the Air Force, Don graduated from Geneva College with a degree in Business Management. Over the years he worked for various factories in the Ellwood City area in sales, and retired from Herr Voss after 15 years of service as a salesman. He is a member of the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church where he was actively involved with the Holy Name Society, Special Activities Group, and volunteer at the former annual church bazaar. He enjoyed golfing and will be remembered for his comical mannerism.

Don is survived by his wife Georgian (Bevivino) Mudric whom he married on February 11th, 1954, son Mark (Leslie) Mudric of Ellwood City, grandchildren Donald J. (Tanya) Mudric III, Ashley Herko, and Chelsey (RJ) DeTiullo, and great-grandchildren Landon and Willow Herko.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son Donald J. Mudric II.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-7 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. Members of the Holy Redeemer Holy Name and Special Activities Group are asked to meet at the funeral home on Thursday by 6:30 pm to conduct a joint service. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday at 10:00 am at Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church with Father Jim Wehner officiating. Entombment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery, St. Peter’s Mausoleum. Members of the Veterans Honor Guard are asked to meet at the church on Friday by 10:45 am to conduct full military honors.
