Rosalyn Marie Peffer, 73

Mrs. Rosalyn Marie Peffer, 73, of Franklin Township passed away on Monday, November 14th, 2022 at the UPMC Passavant-McCandless Hospital.

Mrs. Peffer was born on August 4th, 1949 in Ellwood City to the late John and Rose Marie (DeCola) Gurgacz. She had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1967. Rosalyn had worked at Shenango Pottery in New Castle, and later for the Riverside School District at both the Middle School and High School cafeterias. For over 40 years she along with her husband Doug was a co-owner/operator of Doug Peffer’s Deer Cutting and Smoke House located in Franklin Twp.. She had grown up as a member of the 8th Street Christian Assembly Church in Ellwood City and most recently was faithfully attending the First Baptist Missionary Church in Chewton. Rosalyn was the leader of her weekly family Bible Study, and enjoyed playing cards.

She is survived by her husband Douglas Peffer whom she married on February 10th, 1973, daughters Autumn (Joe) Minnitte of Houston, TX and Amber (Ron) Michel of Franklin, TN, son Jonathan Peffer (Erin Price) of Ellwood City, grandchildren Skylar Marie Minnitte, Rocco Minnitte, Madison Michel, Coen Michel, and Emerson Michel. She is also survived by her sisters Debra Costa of Fombell, Rhonda (Richard) Wright of North Sewickley Twp., and Joni (Gennaro) DiBello of Pittsburgh, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and on Saturday from Noon until the time of the service at 1:00 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Rev. Eric Board officiating. Interment will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery.

  2. Jonathan I’ve known you for a long time my heart goes out to you it’s actually broken I know how close you and your mom were and it’s gonna take yours to build a void. As far as your dad and your sister it’s gonna take them as long thin so it’s gonna take a family to stick together for your mom to be able to get through this it’s not gonna be easy I know when my mom passed away he took years for me to get over it and I’m still not over it and it’s been 12 years but I wish you the best on him and the rest of the family tell them I said hi and they’re in my heart and my soul and I have all my love tell Debbie I said I had on my way to see come home and I will tell Debbie I said hi
