Lincoln High School is planning an educational European tour for the summer of 2024.
Students will experience Paris, Provence, and Barcelona, Spain, over a 10 day trip according to Jason Bell, Spanish Teacher at Lincoln.
The trip is open to all students who are currently enrolled in 9th through 12th grade.
Bell and Mrs. Mandy Long will chaperon the trip coordinated with EF Tours, the district educational travel partner.
In prior years Bell has taken groups of students to Costa Rica (2019 and 2022) and Bell wanted to offer the opportunity to more members of the school community.
“I reached out to Mrs. Long and away we worked on an itinerary that will include some of the best experiences that the two countries have to offer,” says Bell.
Students will get to see the Eiffel Tower and the Sagrada familia, the beaches of Barcelona and the rolling hills of Provence, and the Mona Lisa and the Picasso museum.
“Lincoln High School hasn’t offered a trip to Europe since the 90’s so we’re very excited to give the students a chance to discover something new,” says Bell.
Bell adds that the more he travels with students the more he realizes that it’s less about the geographic destination and more about the personal growth that students experience while in a new environment.
“International traveling provides students with new perspectives, helps them gain critical thinking skills and make life-long friendships all while fostering independence in a controlled environment.”
If you are interested in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity an online informational meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 9th at 6:30 pm. You must register to attend the meeting. You can RSVP at https://rsvp.eftours.com/2tw26j4.
