The Municipal Woman’s Club is pleased to present The Death of Dr. Frankenstein, a murder/mystery dinner performed by Musical Mysteries & More.
The event will benefit the Municipal Woman’s Club Scholarship Fund and will be held on October 20 at Shakespeare’s. Doors open at 6:15. The cost is $50 per person and includes a sit-down dinner and the mystery dinner theatre performance.
According to organizer Phyllis Conway, the event has been a great success in the past. The Municipal Women have hosted this event since 2016 (with a brief break during COVID).
“Musical Mysteries & More are really good,” said Conway. “They get the audience involved and it’s a lot of fun.
Conway said costumes are optional for the event and will follow a general Halloween theme regular dress code is casual. The last murder mystery dinner drew in 142 guests.

According to their website: “It’s an especially entertaining way to spend an evening out with friends and loved ones. Musical Mysteries & More has a fresh, comedic, musical take on the mystery genre, encouraging your participation. We present our unique vision of combining three much loved genres: COMEDY, MYSTERY, and MUSICAL THEATRE.”
Performances also include some interactive improvisation for an evening full of uproarious laughter, mystery and more than a few surprises.
Shows are fully scripted, family-friendly (PG-13) shows
You may even be called upon to play a small part in the show.
There will be five choices for dinner: Chicken Marsala, Herb Crusted Cod, Stuffed Pork Chop, Eggplant Parmesan with Pasta, and a gluten free option of Grilled Chicken Breast. Dinners come with a salad, potato, and bread as well as soft drinks, coffee, tea, and dessert. A cash bar will be available.

In addition to the dinner and theatre, the Municipal Woman’s Club will host a basket raffle and 50/50 drawing.
