Mary Levada (Best) Tincani, 85

Your smile, quick wit, the sparkle in your eyes.  Your kindness, gentleness and your giving spirit.  Your delicious cookies and food.  Your friendship, guidance and hugs.  These are just a few of the things we will miss now that the Lord has called you home.

Mary Levada (Best) Tincani went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.

Mary was born to the late George and Ethel (Watson) Best, on February 11, 1937 in Portersville, Pennsylvania and graduated from Slippery Rock High School in 1955.

Mary married her high school sweetheart, Edward Tincani on August 18, 1955 and resided in Ellwood City.  Edward preceded her in death on December 28, 2020.  They were long time members of the Presbyterian Church of Portersville.

Mary wore many hats over the years, from working in her father’s coal mine, filling vending machines, nurse’s aide, taking care of others, friend, confidant and cookie baker. But her favorite and best role was wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Left to cherish her memories are her five children; George Tincani, Cindy (Jim) Lokey, Terri (Kevin) Herge, Jim (Linda) Tincani, Debby (Dave) Caccia, 12 grandchildren; George, Joe (Kimmie), Traci (Duane), Ashley, Zac, Erin, Deidre (James), Bryson, Virginia (Joe), Jessica, Tony, David, 13 great-grandchildren, a brother; Carl Best of Harrisville, a sister; Ruby Best of Grove City and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Wayne Eder and a daughter-in-law, Betty Tincani.

The family will be receiving friends at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport, on Saturday, September 24th from 1PM until the time of the service at 5PM.  Officiating the service will be Pastor Steve Plyler of Bell Memorial Presbyterian Church.  Interment will take place at the Presbyterian Church of Portersville Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their thanks to AHN Hospice, Anastasia Neil, MD., Wesley Calve, PA and staff, and Beth Simpson for their kindness and care.
