Ellwood City Wolves Den Honors American Legion Post 157

The Ellwood City Wolves Den II met on Wednesday, September 14th and honored American Legion Post 157 with their Pro Bono Publico Award.

American Legion Post 157 was instrumental in bringing the half size replica of the Vietnam War Memorial, “The Moving Wall”, back to Ellwood City on August 18 through August 21, 2022. It was last here in 2009. The Wolves provided a certificate to Joe Fisher who is the Commander of American Legion Post 157. The Wolves provided a dinner of hamburgers and hot dogs to the volunteers from various organizations (Boy Scouts, the Girl Scouts, Wolves Club and Knights of Columbus members) that assisted the American Legion during the four day display in Ewing Park.

The Ellwood City Wolves Club Den II’s moto is Pro Bono Publico (for the good of the public) and periodically recognizes local entities and individuals who serve for the good of the public. The Club raises funds for scholarships and local community projects through the upcoming Oktoberfest and the Golf Bash in February 2023. The Club meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.
