The Ellwood City Wolves Club Den 11 met on Wednesday April 11, 2024 at the Connequenessing Country Club providing updates on the golf bash and scholarships. President Mike DeOtto opened the meeting and welcomed club members and guests. Golf Bash Chairman Chris Cioffi reported on the February 18, 2024 Golf Bash at the Sons Of Italy. The Golf Bash was a well attended event with 375 golfers there. It raised $22,400.00 for the scholarship fund. A partner in this endeavor is the Divine Grace Christian Mothers. Wolves Club Hosts Picnic To Honor Riverside Baseball Team

The Ellwood City Wolves Club Den II met on Wednesday, August 9th at their Shelter in Ewing Park and honored the Riverside High School Baseball Team. A picnic was held to honor the accomplishments of the team who went undefeated in their regular season, competed and won in both the WPIAL Championship and the PIAA State Championship. The Panthers are the first WPIAL team to win a state baseball title with a perfect record. The Club recognizes area residents and school sports teams under their Pro Bono Publico Award. Ellwood City Wolves Club Awards $18,035 in Scholarships This Year To Local Students

On Wednesday, May 31st, the Ellwood City Wolves Den II hosted a dinner to honor the recipients of the Wolves Club Scholarships for 2023. Ten Wolves Club Scholarships, with a value of $18,035, were awarded this year including three new ones. Wolves Club president, Mike DeOtto commented, “Higher education puts students on the path to many different careers. Ellwood City Wolves Club Celebrates 75th Anniversary With Dinner

The Ellwood City Wolves Club Den 11 celebrated their 75th Anniversary with a Dinner at the Connoquenessing Country Club on Wednesday. The Dinner was attended by 85 members and their guests, including the current National Wolves Club President, Craig Mamone of Rochester, PA. The master of ceremonies, long time member Ray Santillo, conducted the program and highlighted the history of the club. The club began in 1948 by four local businessmen (Brothers Deno and Frank Barsotti, P O Contrucci and A P Folino) chartered in 1951 and received their seal in 1954. Ellwood City Wolves Den Honors American Legion Post 157

The Ellwood City Wolves Den II met on Wednesday, September 14th and honored American Legion Post 157 with their Pro Bono Publico Award. American Legion Post 157 was instrumental in bringing the half size replica of the Vietnam War Memorial, “The Moving Wall”, back to Ellwood City on August 18 through August 21, 2022. It was last here in 2009. The Wolves provided a certificate to Joe Fisher who is the Commander of American Legion Post 157. Wolves Club Hosts Dan Hoover During Monthly Meeting

The Ellwood City Wolves Club Den 11 met on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, and hosted Dan Hoover, Plant Manager of the Nalco Waters Plant in Ellwood City. Dan is a 30 year employee and covered the special chemical products produced at the plant and how Nalco has been involved in the community the entire time he has been with them. Nalco has been a sponsor for the Gobbler’s Gallop at Riverside as well as the Ellwood City Festival 10k race. The clubs’ motto is Pro Bono Publico: for the good of the public. Wolves Club Meets, Recognizes Efforts In Sign Replacement

The Ellwood City Wolves Club met on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 and recognized the efforts of the Ellwood City Borough, Ellwood City Lions, Ellwood City Rotary and the Ellwood City Wolves Club Den II in replacing the old “Welcome to Ellwood City” sign located at the intersection of RT 288 and Route 65. The clubs raised funds to replace the sign. They had been working on the project for three years and raised $18,200 to make it possible. Ellwood City Wolves Club Recognizes Local Man For Volunteer Work

The Ellwood City Wolves Club Den II recognized a local man for his volunteer work in our community for the past 50 years. The Club recognizes local citizens who perform volunteer work in the community and epitomize the Clubs moto: “Pro Bono Publico”-For the Good of the Public. Sam Pawlowski of Ellwood City was recognized by presentation of a certificate and a Gift Card to Giant Eagle at their regular meeting at the Connequenessing Country Club Wednesday night. Chris Cioffi presented for the EC Wolves Club to Jackie Dimeo, President of the Holy Redeemer Christian Mother’s. A Presentation of $500.00 from funds raised during a recent Golf Bash fundraiser was made during the Wolves Club MTG on June 23rd in Ewing Park.
