Judith C. “Judy” Emig, 82

Heaven gained another angel on August 27th, 2022. Judith C. “Judy” (Conti) Emig passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 81. She was born on February 5th, 1941 the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Bella (Statti) Conti. She was married to Richard R. Emig.

She had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1959. Judy had worked at the Ames department store , Christy’s Market in the bakery, and the Ellwood City Hospital dietary department.

Judy always loved being around her family and cooking and baking for a crowd. She was an avid reader of romance novels and enjoyed camping throughout the years. Judy was very active in her community over the years. She was a long time volunteer at the Ellwood City Hospital and served as president for the Hospital Auxiliary. She was active in the Girl Scouts as a leader and volunteered for the local food bank. Judy was also a member of the Christ Presbyterian Church in Ellwood City.

Judy leaves behind her husband of 61 years Richard E. Emig, daughters Linda Murdy of Connecticut, Stephanie (Brian) Marketich of Beaver Falls, and Lisa (Dave) Zagorski of Ellwood City, six grandchildren Benjamin, Bethany, and Samuel Murdy, Dylan Marketich, Taylor and Morgan Zagorski. Judy also leaves behind many family and friends whom she loved so much.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her in-laws Roy and Helen Seamons, son-in-law William Murdy, and her very close cousin Frances “Kena” Battaglia.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5-8 pm and on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of the Service at 11:00 am at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Rev. R. Tod Custer officiating. Interment will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Judy’s name may be made to the Club Hope Foundation
