Mr. Louis “Louie” V. Franzi, 99, of Ellwood City, passed away Saturday, July 9th, 2022 at the Quality of Life Services in New Castle.
Louis was born on June 20th, 1923 in Ellwood City to the late Luigi and Sara (Ruscillo) Franze. He graduated from the Lincoln High School with the class of 1941 and enlisted with U.S. Airforce. He is a member of Holy Redeemer Church. Louis worked for United States Postal Service as a supervisor for over 30 years. He enjoyed coin collecting, watching the stock market, and in his earlier years, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his son, Rodney (Christine) Franzi, of Boardman, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Emma L. (Cavallaro) Franzi, whom he married on June 18th. 1949 and passed away on September 8th, 2013, sister, Josephine Filigenzi, brothers, John and Michael Franzi.
As per Louis’ wishes, there will be no public visitation or service. Inurnment will be at Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Louis’ name may be made out to the Ellwood City Public Library.
