According to an alert from Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania made available to the borough, approximately 250 customers are experiencing a natural gas outage in the Ellwood City area as of Thursday afternoon.
The outage affects customers on Aetna Drive, Argonne Boulevard, Cavalier Court, Crabapple Lane, Crestview Drive, Dover Lane, June Lee Street, Meadowridge Drive, Peach Street, Plymouth Lane, Sewall Court, Skyline Drive, Sunset Boulevard, and Walnut Drive.
Columbia Gas technicians are on site, and repairs are underway. Once repairs have been completed, Columbia Gas crews will go door-to-door to perform safety checks and relight natural gas appliances for all affected customers.
For customers not home during the service restoration process, door hangers will be left informing them of the outage and requesting they call Columbia Gas at 1-888-460-4332 for a service technician to be dispatched to restore service to their homes or businesses.
