The Municipal Woman’s Club of Ellwood City held their annual May banquet at the Calvin Church on May 23, 2022 at 6 pm.
Toastmistress, Nancy Fenton welcomed members and guests, the Invocation was given by Kathy Gorzkowski, and the delicious banquet dinner was prepared and catered by member, Cheryl Valvano, with the help of her husband Tony, niece Lora Lohr, and Phyllis Conway.
Geri Mantz and Dee Maietta, head of Social, decorated guest tables with floral centerpieces and each guest received a floral magnet.
Cheryl Valvano presented the Lincoln High School recipient, Tyunna Jordan, her scholarship award. Nancy Walton presented the Riverside High School recipient, Izabell Montani, her scholarship award.
Dee Maietta, past Woman of the Year, presented a gift of chimes to Kathy Gorzkowski, Woman of the Year for 2022.
Installation of New Officers for 2022-2023 was performed by Michele Harding. Each new officer was presented a bracelet with charms. The charms symbolize Love, Unity, Community, Harmony, and Friendship.
The new officers pledged to do the duties of their office.
New officers are: President Barb Beachem, Civic Kathleen Frieckanish, Program Shirley Coccia, Secretary Susan Gilchrist, Treasurer Nancy Fenton, Ways & Means Phyllis Conway & Cheryl Valvano, Membership Joanne Lowrie.

The table flower centerpieces were won by Sandy Blank, Michele Harding, Geri Mantz, Kathleen Frickanish, Joanne Lowrie, Phyllis Conway, and Tyunna Jordan.
