Olga M. (Dugan) Nardone, 94

Mrs. Olga M. (Dugan) Nardone, 94, of Koppel, passed away peacefully at Northview Estates Assisted Living on Friday, March 11th, 2022.

Born October 23rd, 1927, in Beaver Falls, she was a daughter of the late David and Mildred (Perencevic) Dugan.

Olga was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was a devout Catholic and loved spending time in the kitchen creating delicious meals for her family and anyone that was hungry; all were welcome at her table. Her generosity was unparalleled and touched so many near and far.

After graduating from Beaver Falls High School in 1945, she worked for the Farmer’s Bank until the birth of her first child. She served as the president of St. Teresa’s Alter & Rosary Society and the Beaver Falls Football Mothers.

She leaves behind her husband of 73 years, Joseph “Joe” Nardone; her five children, Charles (Kara) Nardone of Hopewell and his 3 children Joe (Kelly), Gina Salama (Pete), and Jessica; Mary Ann DeSanzo (Mike Heider) and her 2 children John DeSanzo and Stephanie (Jake) Piechowiak of Perrysburg, Ohio; Donna (Mike) Hajduk and their 2 sons Michael and Matthew of Pittsburgh; Joseph (Sandy) Nardone of Ellwood City; Bill (Lisa) Nardone and their 3 children, Adrienne, Angelina, and Will of Ellwood City; five great-grandchildren, Julia, Carlo, and Joey Nardone, Hoda and Tomasina Salama; one brother, David Dugan of Beaver Falls, and one sister-in-law, Vita Prence of Koppel. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Mike and Don Dugan, her sisters, Annie Dugan, Dorothy Pavlovic and Sara Lesko.

Her family will remember her as a great fan and supporter no matter what activity they where involved in. She didn’t attend an event without bringing one of her specialty dishes; apricot bars, meatballs or eggplant parmigiana. And fondly remembered as the first person to call when something was lost: her prayers had a direct line to Saint Anthony, warm blankets where always available from the dryer, and her Easter sausage pies.

Mrs. Nardone’s family would like to thank the staff of Northview Estates for the wonderful care that they extended to her.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3-8 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at the Holy Redeemer Church with Father John Gallagher officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Beaver Falls.

Memorial contributions in Mrs. Nardone’s name may be made to the McGuire Memorial Home, or to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
