POLICE: Weekly Police Blotter

BREAKING & ENTERING:
According to a criminal complaint, on October 13th at approximately 5:33 a.m., Ellwood City police were dispatched to a report of an interior burglary alarm at Fraternal Orders of Eagles on Lawrence Avenue. No forced entray was observed but later that day a member of the club told officers that someone broke into the club the prior night. The club member showed police video footage that shows a white male exit the restroom on the second floor of the building at 5:21 a.m., and the individual was later identified as William Donahoe, 63, of Ellwood City. The club member showed police the bathroom that Donahoe was first observed exiting in the video with damages that estimated at $875.00. Donahoe is charged with Criminal Trespassing and Criminal Mischief.

ASSAULT:
Justin Norris, 44, of Wampum, is charged with Simple Assault, Strangulation, and Harassment after an incident on November 3. According to a criminal complaint, on November 3rd at approximately 10:08 pm., police were dispatched to a residence on Beaver Avenue in Wampum for a reported domestic altercation. The victim related that she was arguing with her husband, Norris, over an alleged relationship she was having with another man that resulted in Norris to grab her by the throat, cover her mouth, inhibiting her from breathing. The victim also related that Norris struck her in the left side of the face. The following morning the victim called police after another physical altercation causing Norris to flee the scene. Norris was located and interviewed whereas he related he was defending himself from the victim after she struck him with a shower curtain and bit him. The victim is being charged with harassment.

FLEEING & ELUDING:
On November 3 at 6:36 p.m. PA State Police observed a traffic violation in the area of 8th Avenue in the City of Beaver Falls, Beaver County. Police attempted to stop a 2002 Dodge Caravan operated by John Allen, 44, of Pittsburgh, for a traffic violation. Allen fled from the police at a high rate of speed and failed to stop for several stop signs. Allen was also found to e waned by parole and had several warrants for his arrest. Allen’s vehicle then collided with a 201 Honda Civic that was operated by a 19-year-old Beaver Falls man at the intersection of 6th Avenue and 37th Street Extention. Allen climbed out of his vehicle window and resisted arrest. The investigation is ongoing.



BURGLARY:
On October 15th at approximately 2:30 p.m. an unknown actor(s) entered an unlocked shed of a 79-year-old victim on Potersville Road, Wayne Township, and removed a red Craftsmas air compressor and fled in an unknown direction. The value of the compressor is $100.00. The investigation is ongoing.

THEFT:
On October 24th PA State Police responded to a report of theft of a prescription Percocet tablets at a residence located on Vogel Lane, Little Beaver Township, Lawrence County. According to the report, and the 69-year-old female victim, she first noticed there were 70 tables missing on October 18. The tablets went missing from inside of a safe inside her residence.

OPERATION I CAN STILL VOTE TODAY:
On November 2, 2021, Detectives from the Lawrence County District Attorney’s Office Special Investigations Unit and Criminal Investigations Unit, New Castle City Police Department, Union Township Police Department and Pulaski Township Police Department executed a search warrant at 307 N. Lafayette Street, the home of Mr. Davone Johnson. Detectives seized the following items during the search: 2 plastic baggies containing 20.8 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 1 plastic baggie containing 6 grams of suspected heroin, 1 loaded stolen 9mm Ruger semi automatic handgun, 1 loaded .40 Glock handgun with extended magazine and laser sight, 1 digital weigh scale and $9,712 in U.S. currency. Mr. Johnson was taken into custody and lodged in the Lawrence County Jail pending arraignment on the following charges: 2 counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver, 2 counts of Persons not to Possess a Firearm, 1 count of Receiving Stolen Property and 1 county of Drug Paraphernalia.

HOMICIDE SUSPECT CAPTURED:
he New Castle City Police Department has arrested Daniel Lee TWEEDLIE (18). TWEEDLIE had a Criminal Homicide warrant which was filed by the NCPD after an investigation into the homicide which occurred October 24, 2021, on Leasure Avenue in the City of New Castle. The victim in the case was identified as Devon Thompson, 21 years old from Beaver Falls, PA. TWEEDLIE was arrested at approximately 12:10 am, after members of the New Castle City Police Department and the Lawrence County Critical Incident Response Team surrounded a residence located on McCleary Avenue. TWEEDLIE is being placed into the Lawrence County Jail on charges of CRIMINAL HOMICIDE and POSSESSION OF FIREARM WITH MANUFACTURER NUMBER ALTERED. Additional charges may be filed against individuals who may have aided TWEEDLIE while he was attempting to avoid being captured. The NCPD would like to thank all the community members who sent in tips and provided the NCPD with vital Intel to help us locate TWEEDLIE.
