Borough of Ellwood City Announces Annual Clean-Up Date

If you have waste to get rid of, here’s your chance.

The Borough of Ellwood City has announced information on its upcoming annual clean-up day scheduled for next month.

The clean up date is Saturday, October 16th from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Drop off location is the parking lot at 1200 Factory Avenue in Ellwood City, just west of Adams Manufacturing Building #4 and prior to the Moose Lodge

The cost is $10.00 per passenger vehicle for drop offs. No commercial vehicles allowed.

Tags may be purchased through the utility window at the Borough building at 525 Lawrence Avenue

Curbside pick-up is available for disabled residents or residents over 65 years of age. Requests for curbside pick-up can be made through the borough offices.

If approved by the borough manager, items will be picked up on your regular trash day during the week of October 18. Requests mast be submitted by October 10. This will be limited to one pickup truck load per house. Cost is $35.00 per house.

Excluded items include: Tires, car batteries, bricks, stones, dirt, dismantled automobiles, containers with liquid (solvents, paint thinners, oil, gas, kerosene), hazardous materials, items containing freon, electronic waste, TVs, desktop and laptop computers, monitors, fax machines, printers, DVR or DVD players, game consoles, and phones.
