Franklin Township residents are invited to participate in a township clean-up day planned for Saturday, May 2, 2026. The event will begin at 8:00 a.m. and last until 2:00 p.m. for township residents. Residents can drop off trash at the Franklin Township Building located on Route 288 in Fombell. This cleanup event is for township residents only, with two (2) passes allowed per household. The Borough of Ellwood City has announced its annual fall clean up event scheduled in October. The Fall Clean Up event is scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2025. Drop off will be from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Drop off location is the parking lot at 1210 Factory Avenue in Ellwood City, just west of Adams Manufacturing Building #4 and prior to the Moose Lodge.
