Hildegard “Hilda” Falen, 70

Hildegard “Hilda” M. Falen, 70, of Ellwood City, passed away at UPMC Jameson on Saturday, July 17, 2021.

Born in Pittsburgh on March 19, 1951, Hilda was the daughter of the late Charles and Georgina Keissling Wahl.  She retired from the Seneca Valley School District in 2004 where she had worked in the cafeteria and later as a custodian.  Hilda enjoyed time with her family, especially game nights where she would usually win at Skip-Bo.

She is survived by her children, Jennifer Prinkey of Ellwood City and Bobby Falen of Harmony, four granddaughters: Aytymn and her husband, Mark, Angellica, Erika and Leah, two great-granddaughters, Korralee and Lydia, a sister, Barbara VanCuren of Houston, TX and a brother, David Wahl of Ft. Myers, FL.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Ann Kristophel.

A Celebration of Hilda’s Life will be held at a later date.   Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport.

    Sincere condolences to all the family. She and my sister were good friends during her childhood years here in Middle Lancaster. Memories of trying to follow them around, as I am younger, come to mind. She always was smiling and funny. Babysat for her in Harmony, a few times. Tt her at BiLo’s a few years ago. Brother Dave always around too with Jim, my sister Barb, and Hilda. So sorry for your loss Dave and Barb. Love and prayers of comfort to all her family.
