Lawrence County Earth Day 2021 To Be Held Virtually

Lawrence County Earth Day will be held virtually this year to continue to keep everyone safe.

However, you do not want to miss out on participating in contests that will take place on the Lawrence County Earth Day Facebook event page!  Two photo submissions will each win cash prizes and a video submission has a chance to win $100.00 cash.

Submit a photo for the “I Love the Earth” Photo Contest by Saturday, April 17th and the photo with the most Facebook likes will receive a $50.00 cash prize. Submit a photo for the Second Annual eARTh Day Art Contest by Saturday, April 17th and the photo with the most likes will win a $50.00 cash prize.

Submit a video for the Virtual Trashion Show and the video with the most likes will win a $100.00 cash prize. The submission deadline has been extended to Thursday, April 15th.

Visit the Lawrence County Earth Day Facebook Event Page. The event page will showcase vendors, educational videos and musical performances on April 17, 2021 beginning at 10:00 a.m.

This is the second consecutive year the Earth Day event has not been held in person due to COVID-19 and social distancing safeguards. Last year the virtual art contest was first announced.  In past years, hundreds of visitors have frequented the event that has featured a Trashion Show, Wild World of Animals and horse & trolley rides.
