The annual Lawrence County Earth Day Celebration will be held on Saturday, April 20th at Ewing Park, Ellwood City from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The planning committee is seeking vendors to sell environmentally friendly products. Vendor products from previous years include goats milk soaps, rug rags, reusable tupperware, wood crafts, beeswax lotion bars, soaps, candles, plants, jams, herbs, goats milk lotion, and skincare products. The annual Lawrence County Earth Day Celebration will be held on Saturday, April 22rd at Ewing Park, Ellwood City from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. The event will offer an eARTh Day Art and Photography Show. Submit an art piece or photo to convey what you love about the earth! Artwork can be created from any medium such as clay, canvas, wood, recycled materials, etc. Photos should be placed on sturdy backing. Ellwood City Storytelling Festival Returns Next Month

Ellwood City Community Enrichment and the Ellwood City Area Public Library will be hosting Ellwood City’s Storytelling Festival on Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 4:00pm – 7:30pm in Ewing Park, Ellwood City, PA. The festival is a beloved community event that features free activities for children and professional storytellers. This year, the featured storytellers are Regina Rees, Dr. Sparks, Mike Perry, Tim Hartman, and Bill Pate. In a social media post Wednesday afternoon the Ellwood City Community Enrichment (ECCE) announced the cancellation of the 2020 Summer Concert Series. The statement reads: Our top priority is to keep our musicians, community and volunteers healthy and safe during this usual time. Therefore, the concert series committee has made a tough decision to cancel the 2020 Summer Concert Series due to COVID-19. Any donations received this year will help fund the 2021 concert seires. Annual Earth Day Event Cancelled, Virtual Art Contest Announced

The Lawrence County Earth Day Committee announced the cancellation of the annual Earth Day festivities.  The event will be replaced with a virtual art contest. In the statement received this week, the committee stated, “We are committed to keeping our visitors safe and healthy at Earth Day; therefore, the Lawrence County Earth Day Committee has decided to cancel the event scheduled for April 18th in Ewing Park.” In lieu of holding the event, a virtual art contest for all ages will be held to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day.
