Paul G. Dici, 89

Paul G. Dici, 89, of Ellwood City, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 in the Butler Health System.

Born in Ellwood City on May 3, 1931, Paul was the son of the late Peter and Anna Spehar Dici.  He married the former Patricia Bradcovich on February 3, 1996 and she preceded him in death on May 1, 2020.  Paul was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Geneva College and Buffalo University.  Paul was a teacher and he retired from the Midwestern Intermediate Unit.  He was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish and the Ellwood City Historical Society.  A Veteran of the US Army, Paul served during both the Korean War and Vietnam War and was a member of American Legion Post 157.  Paul enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching boxing and Notre Dame football, and he especially enjoyed cruising with his late wife, Pat.

Paul is survived by his sister, Judith Dici of Ellwood City, his aunt, Rose Spear of Ellwood City, his brother-in-law, Andy Anderson of Iola, WI, his niece, Connie Sniezek of Ellwood City, his nephews, Erik Anderson of Phoenix, AZ and Jeffrey Anderson of Iola, WI, great-nephews, Frankie Sniezek and Michael Trocci and great-niece, Tess Anderson.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Paul was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Hervatine and Barbara Anderson and a nephew, Michael Hervatine.

Friends will be received on Friday, January 8, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 9th at 10:00 AM at Holy Redeemer Church.  Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.

Attendees at both the funeral home and church are required to wear masks and observe social distancing.

Memorial contributions can be made in Paul’s name to either the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association.
