The Ellwood City Girls Volleyball team easily dispatched Freedom Tuesday evening to remain undefeated on its season.
The girls defeated the visiting Bulldogs (1-8 overall) in straight sets, 25-12, 25-8, and 25-8 to earn its eleventh victory of the season.
The victory came on senior night for the girls volleyball team. The EC junior varsity team also collected a straight set victory (25-11, 25-13) to bring its record to 7-4 on the season.
The Ellwood City Wolverines (11-0 overall; Class 2A, Section-1) will next travel to Shenango (9-1 overall) for a match on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. The two squads have both clinched playoff berths. The Wolverines have three games remaining in its quest for an unbeaten regular season.
