Club Hope Foundation is hosting a virtual “Pink Out” Cancer fundraiser in honor of breast cancer awareness month. To get your shirt and join in the fight, visit Venezie Sporting Goods online store to by September 27. Shirts will be available for pick up at Venezie Sporting Goods or will be shipped on October 8th.
Although getting together for events, can be a challenge with Covid-19 restrictions in place, Club Hope is stepping up to fight in another way.
“We encourage any groups that get together throughout October and wear their shirts to either text me pictures at the foundation at 724-657-7672 or email the photos to clubhopefoundation@gmail.com,” said Club Hope’s founder Cara Atkinson. “We know times are tough with COVID, but cancer doesn’t quit so neither can we. We had overwhelming success last year selling over 1,100 shirts which meant so much awareness was spread and we’d love to do that again this year.”
Atkinson said Club Hope is also proud to announce an expansion of their organization to include a Club Hope in Erie, Pa. With that expansion this year’s shirt fundraiser will include Millcreek School District. wanting to support the new Club Hope and help them get off to a great start can purchase a shirt under the McDowell tab on the Venezie Sporting Goods Website.
“This Club Hope was established because a teacher who grew up in Freedom and taught in the Millcreek School District was involved in our ‘Golden Scars of HOPE’ photo shoot last year and sadly became an angel last year,” Atkinson said. “She was an amazing person named Ashley Kuzma and we are proud to be working with her students to spread HOPE in the Erie Area in her memory!”
