Local Firm Contracted To Work Exclusively with Pittsburgh Public Schools

Ellwood City-based marketing company Thought Process Enterprises (TPE) recently entered into a partnership with Pittsburgh Public Schools (PPS) that will facilitate the placement of banner advertisements on the district’s website as a means of generating revenue for the district.

With school districts facing increasing financial difficulties, some districts have looked for alternative means to raise money beyond tax revenue and government funding.
TPE helps districts in their search for additional income. Through their online advertising division, EDGEclick Advertising, TPE has created a network of public school districts here in the Commonwealth that earn supplemental revenue through banner advertisements on their district websites.

“With technology expenses creeping up due to the various implementations of remote learning measures by districts to combat the coronavirus pandemic this fall, schools are looking for creative ways to offset new expenses”, said Eric Venezie, President of Thought Process Enterprises.

As one of the largest districts in the state, Pittsburgh Public Schools, joins Ellwood City Area School District and Pottsgrove School District, near Philadelphia, as new districts offering advertising space through the EDGEclick network in the 2020-21 school year. Nearly 40 school districts are now benefitting from the no-cost ad revenue services.

“It’s an out-of-the-box way to generate revenue, and it is money most schools didn’t have in prior years,” Venezie said.

In 2019, TPE distributed nearly $100,000 in revenue to member districts and, since its inception, has delivered over a half a million dollars in revenue to its member districts.

“There is no cost at any time for a district to join our network,” said operations manager Bob Phillips. “We handle all aspects of the advertising process. Sales, customer service, design, placement, and distribution. Districts retain right of first refusal on all ad content, so their only involvement is to review the ads and cash their monthly commission checks.”

EDGEclick Advertising started in 2012 as a one-to-one partnership with a single school district and has grown into a regional network with the ability for an advertiser to reach over 100,000 households with a single campaign. You can learn more about the advertising program at their website, www.edgeclick.net. EDGEclick Advertising is a division of Thought Process Enterprises, a local marketing company focusing on the needs of small and medium sized businesses. The company headquarters, a brand new building recently constructed and opened in the spring, is located in downtown Ellwood City, offering several customized, commercial design, print and marketing divisions, all provide unique service offerings.
