Christ Presbyterian Church will be holding a community pizza give away at the church on Friday, June 12 from 4:oo PM until 6:00 PM (or when the pizza runs out, which ever comes first). The church ordered from two pizza places in town: Johnny’s and Domino’s. In total, the church purchased 100 pizzas.
The church has a kitchen, however since they cannot open the it, members wanted to be able to do more “community outreach” events such as this one.
“So many people were already hurting,” member Chris Savor said, “We’re trying to help support those who don’t have easy access to food.”
Savor mentioned that with the pandemic and many people loosing work in town, the “need for help” hasn’t been more prominent.
Members working the give away will be wearing face-masks as well as following CDC health guidelines. There will be signs indicating where you can enter at the Parents Preschool side/4th street side of the parking lot. This give away will be done in a drive-thru process, making it as touch-less as can be with the workers delivering pizza right to your car window.
