Christ Presbyterian Hosting Third Thursday Community Meal

Christ Presbyterian Church will be hosting its Third Thursday Community Meal tonight at 4 p.m. and will serve the community until the food runs out. The church welcomes anyone who feels like they need a home-cooked meal. There is no requirement or proof of need. The church has been hosting this monthly meal since the first one in September. According to Michelle Sutton, deacon at the church, the community gathering has been a success serving on average 120 people per month. Local Church Hosting Pizza Giveaway

Christ Presbyterian Church will be holding a community pizza give away at the church on Friday, June 12 from 4:oo PM until 6:00 PM (or when the pizza runs out, which ever comes first). The church ordered from two pizza places in town: Johnny’s and Domino’s. In total, the church purchased 100 pizzas. Christ Presbyterian Celebrating Its 40th Boar’s Head Festival

Christ Presbyterian Church in Ellwood City is celebrating its 40th year of the “Boar’s Head Festival”. Presented at least as early as 1346 in Oxford, England, the Boar’s Head, and yule log ceremony is probably the oldest continuous festival of the Christmas season. The one-hour presentation celebrates the birth of Christ and features music conducted by Dan Forsberg, and accompanied by the Ellwood City Civic Chorale and organist David DeCaria. Members of the cast, chorus and orchestra are from all over the local region including Beaver, Butler, Lawrence, and Mercer counties. You are invited to join in the festival celebration….
