Penn State Extension To Offer Drinking Water Workshop

Penn State Extension in Lawrence County will host a Drinking Water Workshop on Tuesday, June 18, 2019. The workshop will be held from 3-5pm at the New Castle Public Library. The workshop is free. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.

This workshop will provide education on proper location, construction, testing, maintenance, protection and treatment of private drinking water supplies including wells and springs.

Participants may bring ONE sample per household of their drinking water for onsite water testing to include: bacteria, pH, total dissolved solids, and nitrate.

Instructions for collecting your water sample will be provided before the workshop. Please register online at www.extension.psu.edu/safe-drinking-water-clinic by June 10. If you do not have internet access, please contact Extension registration at 1-877-345-0691.
