Ellwood City Chamber Announces Holiday Event Weekends

As we are beginning to prepare for the upcoming holiday season, Ellwood City has begun preparing for towns holiday events. The goal is to work together with community organizations and businesses to help provide family friendly events that will help kick off the holiday season.

Small Business Saturday will be held on Saturday, November 24, and Let There Be Lights will be held Friday, November 30 and Saturday, December 1.

The Small Business Saturday committee will be handing out giveaways and information at the Community Plaza beginning at 11:00 a.m. on any day that holds any special events or sales that Ellwood City Area businesses will be having that day. Please contact our office with any information you would like us to share with shoppers. There will also be Small Business Saturday posters, welcome mats, stickers, and more in our office. They’re sold on a first come first serve basis.

The scheduled events go as followed:

Saturday November 24
11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Giveaways and music at the Community Plaza from

Friday November 30

In addition to these events, there will be a lot happening in Ellwood that weekend such as the Boar’s Head Festival.

To help our community to kick-off the Christmas season:

  1. Would you consider decorating your storefront before Friday, November 30 to help us celebrate with a festive downtown atmosphere?
  2. Would you consider opening your business Friday, November 30 from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and hosting an activity, sale, or an open house?
  3. Would you consider opening your business Saturday, December 1 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and hosting an activity, sale, or an open house?
  4. Would you consider helping us advertise via your customers?
