SPOILER ALERT: House Tour Home Features Dr. Seuss Christmas Tree

One of the Ellwood City Municipal Women House Tour homes, the Bissell household, located at 3302 River Road in Ellwood City, is the first home on the list to be decorated for the event.

Though the family still has a few decorations to finish putting up, the majority of work has been completed.

From flamboyant nutcrackers to a surfin’ Santa, home owner Teresa Bissell stated that her favorite decoration is the Dr. Seuss tree. She has been collecting Dr. Seuss ornaments for several years and has plenty to show for her collection!

About the House Tour:

The annual Ellwood City Municipal Woman’s House Tour will be December 2 from 10a.m.-3p.m.

The house tour will consist of the DeSanzo house, 417 Hazel Ave., the Leavens house, 405 Pershing St., the Saxton house, 412 Pershing St., the McAnallen house, 648 Crabapple Lane, the Bissell house, 3302 River Road, and the Trinity Lutheran Church, 207 Spring Ave.

The open house businesses are Shop At The Underpass, Kimple’s Jewelers, Posies by Patti, Market Place on Main, Peggy’s Hearts Desire, Blocher Jewelers, The Color Center, Wolverine Restaurant and Sweet Caroline’s.

Tickets are $10 each and admit one person.

Proceeds from the Christmas House Tour benefit the Municipal Woman’s Club Gazebo Fund and Civil Projects.

Following the tour will the the Christmas Parade at 3:30p.m., Let There be Lights on Lawrence Avenue at 6p.m., and Christmas in the Park starting after 6p.m.
