Ellwood City Library Activities For The Week Of September 24

The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities.  Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

Activities taking place this week include:

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26

 10:00 a.m. – “Coloring for Adults,” a weekly program that is free and open to the public.  It is designed to help reduce the stresses of everyday life.  All adults are welcome.

1:00 p.m. – “Building Buddies,” a new program of fun and learning for toddlers and preschoolers.  This interactive program allows kids to explore building and socialization skills.  No registration is required.

The Fall Schedule for “Building Buddies” is:

Wednesday, October 3, 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.

Wednesday, November 14, 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.

Wednesday, December 12, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

This is a new interactive program of fun and learning for toddlers and preschoolers.  It  allows kids to explore building and socialization skills.  No registration is required.

6:00 p.m. – “Movie Night for Adults,” featuring new-to-DVD films and refreshments.  These monthly events are free and open to all area adults.  Call the library for more information or to discover the title of the film to be shown.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 27

 6:00 p.m. – “Adult Knitting Group,” which meets weekly to work on individual projects. New members are welcome.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 29

 2:00 p.m. “Ellwood City Golf Ball Roll Open,” will be held  as part of the Community’s “Fall Fest” Celebration.  Tickets for the Golf Ball Roll are available at the library and all proceeds benefit library programs.  The winner will receive a monetary prize.  Call the library for more information.

 SAVE THE DATES

The fall session of “Family Laptime” starts the first week of October.  It is designed for babies as young as 6 months of age, toddlers and preschoolers.  Also starting the first week in October is “Preschool Storytime,” designed for children 3 years of age and older.  Registration is requested for both programs.  Call the library for more information.

The library is currently accepting books for their annual book sale held on October 1–6.  No textbooks of any type, magazines, Reader’s Digest Condensed Books, encyclopedias or VHS tapes will be accepted.
