Ellwood City Public Library Activities for Week of March 19

Activities taking place at the Ellwood City Area Public Library include the following:

Monday, March 19, at 1:30 p.m.Afternoon Book Discussion Group for Adults. The group will discuss the book, “The Edge of Lost,” by Kristina McMorris. New members are welcome. Call the library at 724-758-6458 for more information.

Tuesday, March 20, at 10:00 a.m.Family Laptime, a weekly program designed for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. The spring session, which will be held every Tuesday through April 24, features stories, songs, games and more. Registration is requested, so call the library for more information and to register.

Wednesday, March 21, at 10:00 a.m. — “Coloring for Adults,” a weekly program that is free and open to the public. “Coloring for Adults” is a program designed to help reduce the stresses of everyday life. Everyone is welcome, so call the library for more information.

Wednesday, March 21, at 3:00 p.m.Creative Writing Workshop for students in 7th grade and up. The group meets twice each month to share their work and discuss writing tips and techniques. Call the library for more information.

Thursday, March 22, at 10:00 a.m.Preschool Story Time for preschoolers ages 3 years old and up. The weekly spring session, which will be held every Tuesday through April 26, features stories, songs, games and more. Registration is requested, so call the library for more information and to register.

Thursday, March 22, at 6:00 p.m.Adult Knitting Group whose members meet weekly to work on individual projects. New members are welcome, so call the library for more information.

Friday, March 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. — The library will host a special book-signing event for our very own Nancy Wallace, whose third book in the “Wolves of Llise” trilogy will be released that week. Featured will be a meet-and-greet with the author and refreshments. All area residents are invited to attend. Call the library for more information.

The March “Movie Night for Adults” will be held on Wednesday, March 28, at 6:00 p.m. Featured are new-to-DVD films and refreshments. Call the library for more information or to discover the title of the film to be shown.

The library will be hosting a fun “Paint Night” fundraiser from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 27 at the library Those attending will create a 16 x20 inch canvass painting and enjoy complimentary wine, cheese and other refreshments. The cost is $35 and space is limited, so call the library now for more information.
