Angeline M. Pope, 87

popeMrs. Angeline M. Pope, 87, of Wampum passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2016 in the Good Samaritan Hospice.

Mrs. Pope was born on August 20, 1929 in Ellwood City to the late Frank and Antoinette Mercato Toscano. She had attended Lincoln High School and is a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish. Angeline had worked at the Ellwood City Knitting Mill, Romar Textiles, and then at the Beaver Valley Nursing Center and Rehabilitation as a care nurse for 29 years. She also was a secretary at her daughters dance studio, Barb’s School of Dance and Baton, for many years. She enjoyed attending Dance and Baton Conventions with her daughter Barb, and being with her dog Ebony. She is also a past member of the Hungarian Home and the Ladies of the MOOSE.

Mrs. Pope is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Dan) Neely of Core, West Virginia, her sons, Michael (Cindy) Pope Sr., and Frank Pope both of Wampum, her grandchildren, Nicole (Dan) Hogue, Michael Pope, Jr., Lynn (Ben) Kristophel, Frank Pope, Braden Neely, and Braelynn Neely, her great-grandchildren, Shawn Kristophel, and Seth Kristophel, and her sister, Kathryn Francis of Franklin Twp..

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Michael Pope, Jr. whom she married on June 28, 1956 and passed away on August 9, 1986, her sister, Frances Galbreath, and her brother, John Toscano.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 pm and on Thursday from 9-10 am in the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services. A Blessing Service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Father Mark Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
