popoffMr. Ronald K. Popoff, 67, of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 in the Beaver Valley Nursing Center.

Ron was born on August 19, 1949 in Ellwood City to the late Kime L. and Mary Fenechi Popoff. He is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1969, and the Light House Assembly of God Church. He enlisted with the U.S. Army on October 27, 1969 and served until his discharge on October 1, 1971 during the Vietnam War. Ron had worked at the Aetna Standard Engineering Co. for 14 years as a machine operator, then with Simon Skywitch for 3 years, and later at Inmetco for 20 years in the custodial department. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, golfing, and watching sports mainly the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Pullion Popoff whom he married on February 7, 1976, his daughters, Jennifer (Wayne) Largent of Ellwood City, and Rachel (Dave) Wallbaum of Chippewa Twp., his three grandchildren, Lilly Largent, Blake Largent, and Lincoln Wallbaum, and his sister, Gloria (William) Arkwright of North Sewickley Twp.. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Betty Pullion of Ellwood City.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 3-6 pm in the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services. A Service for Ron will be held on Friday at 6:00 pm in the funeral home with Rev. Travis Richendrfer officiating. Interment will be at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Memorial Contributions in Ron’s name may be made to the Light House Assembly of God Church, 527 North St., Ellwood City, Pa 16117.

Members of the Veterans Honor Guard are asked to meet at the funeral home on Friday by 5:50 pm to conduct full military honors.
