Pittsburgh Mills Sky Trail to Honor First Responders with Free Admission

FRAZER TWP – Pittsburgh Mills Sky Trail is recognizing first responders for their service in protecting life and property with free admission from June 5-30, 2016, Sundays through Fridays. A 10 percent discount for up to six additional guests with the first responder is also included. First responders include active duty fire fighters, rescue and emergency medical workers, TSA personnel, law enforcement officers and military men and women. A current and valid photo ID must be presented at the ticket counter.

“It’s a fun way to say thank you to our local first responders and security personnel,” said Walter Pyle, Pittsburgh Mills Sky Trail Manager. “Their jobs can be dangerous and many times unappreciated. We want them to experience the ropes course and with their families and have a great time doing so.”

The first responders’ promotion was put into motion in response to the uproar over Transportation Security Administration (TSA) departments in recent weeks.

“Our administration headquarters is in Michigan. We travel by plane all the time and see firsthand how stressful a career as a TSA agent must be,” said Bret Hyler, Sky Trail Management & Development Operations Manager. “It made us realize how lucky we are to be in the business of FUN and wanted to share it with those most worthy – the people who provide emergency services to the public.”

Pittsburgh Mills Sky Trail is located inside the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills mall off Exit 12A on Route 28. The three-story Sky Trail® ropes course attraction includes a 69ft. long Sky Rail™ zip line and a Sky Tykes® ropes course for kids under 4ft. tall.  Adventure-seekers of all ages can experience the swinging beams, cargo nets and rope ladders of varying levels of difficulty.
