Ann A. Kovach, 101

Ann A. Kovach, 101, of Ellwood City passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016 in the Northview Estates.

Ann was born on July 17, 1914 in Ellwood City to the late Pavel and Constance Crych Voitowich. She is a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish. A home maker, Ann was a devoted and supportive wife to her husband Martin. She was a knowledgeable cook, and enjoyed traveling to California to visit with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Constance (Richard) Mank of El Cerrito, Calif., her son, Edward (Kathleen) Kovach of Chevy Chase, Md., her grandchildren, Nancy Mank, Susan (Richard) Petersen, Paul (Nicole) Mank, Maria (Pietro) Schiano DiCola, Margaret Kovach, Anne (Christopher) Kovach-Hebling, Katharine (James) Kovach-Gerard, Martin Kovach and Amy Lee, and Alexandra Kovach, and her great-grandchildren, Francis Gerard, Thomas Gerard, Alina Hebling, Josephine Hebling, Dominik Hebling, August Lee-Kovach, Tyler Petersen, Donald Petersen, Jackson Mank, Natalie Mank, Liliana Schiano DiCola, and Fiona Schiano DiCola.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Martin J. Kovach whom she married on Nov. 16, 1933 and passed away on Oct. 25, 1990, and her sisters, Verna Helling, and Helen Hogue. A private Blessing Service will be held on Monday for Ann at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery Mausoleum. The funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services.
