The Ellwood City girls softball team won their first conference game against New Brighton 14-0 in a total shutout yesterday. The game was secured in the first two innings by 11 runs. New Brighton had no hits the entire game.
Camille Maine had four RBIs, while the team total was 14. Freshman Anna Ferrucci had three hits and three runs, the highest for each. Pitcher Skyla Greco had 14 strikeouts and zero hits against.
The Lady Panthers host Laurel tomorrow.
Riverside Defeats Freedom 11-1
The Riverside Panthers defeated Freedom 11-1 in a home non-conference game on Tuesday.
Runs were distributed throughout the game and team. Pitcher Adam Jeannette struck out five batters.
Riverside travels to Blackhawk today.
