Veterans’ Specialist to Visit Gibbons’ Office Next Week

To assist veterans and their families, state Rep. Jaret Gibbons, D-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence, today announced he will host state Department of Labor and Industry veterans’ specialist Ryan Paglia in his Ellwood City office from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26. Gibbons said Paglia develops job and training opportunities for veterans, with special emphasis on veterans with service-connected disabilities. Paglia provides direct services to veterans, enabling them to be competitive in the labor market; he also promotes community and employer support for employment and training opportunities, including apprenticeship and on-the-job training. Gibbons Announces Extension of Persian Gulf Veterans Benefits

HARRISBURG, Jan. 12 – State Rep Jaret Gibbons, D-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence, announced the application deadline for the Persian Gulf Conflict Veterans Benefit Program has been extended to Aug. 31, 2018. According to the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, since 2008, the state has compensated more than 11,500 veterans for their service in the Persian Gulf conflict. Veterans’ Specialist to Visit Gibbons’ Office Next Week

Jaret Gibbons, D-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence, today announced he will host veterans’ specialist Stephanie Bengoa in his Ellwood City office from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13 to lend help to veterans and their families. Bengoa, of the American Legion’s Veterans Assistance program, will be in Gibbons’ office to assist veterans with understanding what benefits they have earned, filing appeals to existing claims, enrolling in the Veterans Administration health care system and any other question regarding benefits. Gibbons Reminds Area Residents of Approaching Property Tax/Rent Rebate deadline

State Rep. Jaret Gibbons, D-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence, reminded constituents today of the Dec. 31 deadline for 2014 Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program applications. “It’s easy to lose track of time around the holidays,” Gibbons said. “Before you know it, it’ll be a new year and too late to file an application.
