History is being made at Ellwood City. In a wild offensive showcase Friday night that featured over 100 combined points and 1,000 combined yards of offense by the Wolverines and Lions, another pair of century marks were reached individually by two Ellwood City juniors who combined to lead the Wolverines to a 62-40 victory on Homecoming night. Running back Elijah Palmer-McCane rushed for 285 yards and four touchdowns on the ground and quarterback Chris Smiley threw for 275 yards and five touchdowns. The Riverside Panthers were defeated Friday night 41-6 by Beaver Falls at Riverside Memorial Stadium. After the team exchanged scores to open the section contest, Beaver Falls (3-3 Overall) scored six straight times including a safety, punt return, and interception return to pull away. 2023 Ellwood City Homecoming Court Announced

Congratulations to the 2023 Ellwood City Homecoming Court! Ellwood City will celebrate their 67th Annual Homecoming festivities next week when the Wolverines host the New Brighton Lions at Helling Stadium on Friday, October 6th. Students will celebrate all week with themed Spirit Days sponsored by Student Council. The 2023 Homecoming King will be crowned at a school pep rally on Friday afternoon and the 2023 Homecoming Queen will be crowned at halftime of the football game that evening. 2023 Riverside Homecoming Court Announced

Congratulations to the 2023 Riverside Homecoming Court! The court was announced this week by the district and the queen will be crowned at halftime of the Riverside home football game next Friday, September 29th. The court (Pictured left to right) is Brooke Wissinger, Sianna Falk, Brooke Dougherty, Emma Thellman, Ryleigh Clyde and Breana Hyre. The Panthers host the Beaver Falls Tigers in section play.  Last year, Elizabeth Frazier was crowned the Riverside 2022 Homecoming Queen. The Riverside School District will host its The Homecoming Dance on Saturday, September 30th from 7:30-10 at the high school.

The Riverside Panthers were defeated Friday night 49-21 by Western Beaver at Riverside Memorial Stadium. Running back Tyson Florence had a big game for Western Beaver, scoring six touchdowns in the victory over Riverside. The home game was the Riverside Homecoming with Elizabeth Frazier crowned the Riverside 2022 Homecoming Queen at halftime. The Golden Beavers improved to 6-1 on the regular season with the Riverside Panthers fell to an even 3-3 on their regular season campaign.

2022 Riverside Homecoming Court Announced

Congratulations to the 2022 Riverside Homecoming Court! The court was announced at the end of last week and the queen will be crowned Friday night at halftime of the Riverside football game. The Homecoming game will be played against Western Beaver at home, with the game starting at 7:00 p.m. The Panthers will look to rebound from their 44-14 loss last week at Beaver Falls that snapped Riverside’s 3-game winning streak.  The team carries a 3-2 season record into the contest. Sam Hughes scampered for two touchdowns to lead the Riverside Panthers to their first victory of the season, a 19-0 victory over rival Ellwood City on Friday night during Homecoming at Riverside’s Memorial Stadium. Madeline Dimeo was named Riverside Homecoming Queen during halftime. Hughes, who finished with 90 yards rushing, scored from 21 years and 19 yards while Brady Barton found the endzone on a 45 yard touchdown for the Panthers (1-4, 1-6 overall).
