Ellwood City Off To Strong Start In Tri-County HS Summer League

Ellwood City is off to a strong start in the 2020 Tri-County High School Summer League. The team is 5-1 after nearly a month of the season. The league consists of 15 teams from Mercer, Butler, and Lawrence Counties. Ellwood defeated Hermitage 9-4 on Tuesday rebounding from its lone loss of the season last Thursday. On Tuesday, Zion Bunney (3 IP) and Nathan Scott (5 IP) share pitching duties for the victors. Ellwood School District Explores Curtain Wall Project Options

The Ellwood City School Board is exploring options for Lincoln High to undergo what’s being called the Curtain Wall Project – an architectural renovation for more efficient insulation. A curtain wall system is an outer covering of a building in which the outer walls are non-structural, utilized to keep the weather out and the occupants in. Since the curtain wall is non-structural, it can be made of lightweight materials, thereby reducing construction costs. Third Annual Beaver County Forensics Meet

The Third Annual Beaver County forensics meet was held at Riverside High School on Tuesday, March 28. Five school district participated in the competition that was offered to both junior high and senior high.
