Mr. John L. Maielli, 88, of Ellwood City passed away on Sunday, January 8th, 2023 at his residence. Mr. Maielli was born in New Castle on July 3rd, 1934 to the late Samuel and Caroline (DeThomas) Maielli. He had graduated from NECA High School in New Castle with the class of 1952. Following high school, John served with the United States Army. After his service with the army John worked for Snyder’s of Berlin as a salesman for 43 years. Suella Ida Volpe, 80, formerly of Ellwood City passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023 in North Carolina following a short illness. Born November 15, 1942 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Orville Cox and Lorraine Kildoo Jeffers. Suella graduated from Lincoln High School in 1960. She was part owner of The Kildoo Agency Insurance Company on Pittsburgh Circle until her retirement in 2010. Suella loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and traveling. Mrs. Deborah M. “Debbie” Agostinelli, 71, of Fombell passed away on January 7th, 1923 at the Lowcountry Community Hospice House in Summersville, South Carolina. Debbie was born on January 2nd, 1952 in Ellwood City, to the late John “Jack” and Shirley (Hall) Britton. She had attended Riverside High School. A homemaker, Debbie was always known for her wonderful cooking and attention to family. She was a great mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Jessica Michelle Spaulding, 41, of New Castle passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 28, 2022. Born May 28, 1981 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Todd Boots and Rachelle Bellian Kruger. She was married to James Spaulding Sr. when he passed away on August 8, 2008. Jessica was employed by the DON Services of New Castle where she worked as a caretaker. She loved taking care of people and will be remembered for her kindness and compassion. Margaret “Peg” Tritt, 97, of Ellport passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at the Butler Memorial Hospital. Born October 16, 1925 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Margaret Gilchrist Gardner. Michael Douglas, 49, of North Sewickley Township passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at his residence. Born January 17, 1973 in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late James P. and Patricia G. Barrows Douglas. Michael attended Riverside High School. He worked as a Diesel Mechanic for Douglas Garage and helped on his uncle’s farm. George W. “Bo” Haswell, 65, formerly of Ellwood City, passed away on Saturday, December 31st, 2022 at the Quality of Life Services in New Castle. Bo was born on February 10th, 1957 in Ellwood City to the late, Francis B. and Janice (Duncan) Haswell II. He graduated from Lincoln High School.
